has become a member of the Blue Science Park at Karlskrona, Sweden. At the same time, Qvantel predicts a continuation of strong sales growth.

Blue Science Park combines research and development with the needs of industry, business and the public sector. The campus focuses on developing excellence and fostering new ideas in Telecom/IT, eHealth and Marine Technology.

Continued strong growth for Qvantel
In 2016, Qvantel increased sales by approximately 50%. In the same time frame, the global employee base grew from 280 to more than 500 people. Adds Anebygd: “We see a continuation of the strong demand for our products and services and believe that growth in 2017 will be even higher.”
Qvantel set up operations in Karlskrona in February, 2015. During the last twelve months, the number of employees has grown from 20 to currently 40. The company is continuing to take on new people, with staff for IT development being in particular high demand in 2017.
Says Peter Thorman, Country Manager of Qvantel Sweden: “We already have a very good cooperation with the university and the municipality in Karlskrona. By joining Blue Science Park, we hope to strengthen this, especially through joint student and research projects.”

Blue Science Park is a collaboration between the municipality of Karlskrona, Blekinge Institute of
Technology, Blekinge County Council and the business community. We have long experience in
