Two new members were elected to the Qvantel Board of Directors
In the annual shareholders meeting held on 28 June 2011 Mika Taberman and MattiRoto. MattiRoto was also elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. The other members of the Board are Jason Grant, Mahender Nandikonda, Ilkka Aura, Peter Thorman and Srikanth Minnam. Mika Taberman is a lawyer and partner at Attorneys-at-Law Juridia Ltd., one of the largest business law firms in Finland. He specializes in securities markets, corporate law, transactions and corporate financing. His clients include both domestic and international companies of which technology and software companies form a substantial part. Mr. Taberman also has extensive experience in organizing the administration of limited liability companies, private equity and financing issues and contract structures. Additionally, he has extensive experience in trials and arbitration proceedings. MattiRoto is an entrepreneur with experience building a number of successful businesses; and has been involved in the Finnish ICT market from the early days of the internet business. He has served in leadership roles at Nettihansa, Ltd., Saunhalahti, PLC.,Jippii Group, PLC., SuomenTerveystalo, PLC., and Academica, Ltd. Mr. Roto has been one of the largest shareholders of Qvantel Group since 1998 and currently holds a 30% stake in the company.
